Azealia Banks - “212”
I’ll admit, at first I was a little hesitant of this Azealia Banks character and all the sudden buzz around her, but she’s totally proved herself with this properly massive single. It’s a diss track, and a damn good one at that. Coupled with an astral cover of Interpol’s “Slow Hands” and her newest offering, “Liquorice”, I’m officially on the bandwagon. Oh, and if those reasons aren’t convincing enough, actress/singer/author/diplomat Gwyneth Paltrow has publicly endorsed “212” on Twitter and in the latest edition of the GOOP newsletter. I can totally hear Apple now, “Imma ruin you, cunt”.
Gosh I’ve been spazzing around her lately.
Her sense of beat is just top notch.
